INTRODUCING VEJA SNEAKERS

INTRODUCING VEJA SNEAKERS

Since 2005, VEJA has been making sneakers differently, infusing each stage of production with a positive impact.
Environmentally friendly sneakers, made with raw materials sourced from organic farming and ecological agriculture, without chemicals or polluting processes.

Fair trade is one of the three fundamental pillars VEJA is built on. Cotton and rubber are purchased directly from producers in Brazil. They sign 1-year contracts with suppliers and set a market-decorrelated price. It's one of the ways to ensure more equitable and dignified commercial transactions.

One of the main raw materials used in VEJAs is rubber. 130 tons of wild rubber purchased since 2004, means 120,000 total hectares of Amazon forest preserved.

This material is used in the sole of every sneaker. They buy rubber in the Amazon forest, directly from Seringueiro communities.

Organic cotton is purchased by VEJA directly, respecting fair trade principles, before it is woven into the canvas and uppers used in many VEJA models.

Since VEJA was created, their sneakers have always been made in the same place: the state of Rio Grande do Sul in southern Brazil. Over time, a real partnership has developed between the brand and the assembly plant.
