Outfit Of The Week 18/08/2020

Outfit Of The Week 18/08/2020

Writing these has really make it feel like someone’s pressed the fast forward button on time. It’s insane how quick the weeks come around when everyday is exactly the same. Thankfully today was a little different in that I drove out to the store (picking up my favourite soy latte from the guys at Cornerstone Cafe) and picked up the brand new Adidas Adventure gear.

Keeping it real simple this week, Layered up in some OG goodness I’ve chosen the Adventure Field Half-zip in the Dark Grey Heather and Adventure Tee in Black. On bottom, I’m sporting my favourite Carhartt 5-Pocket pants and some classic Stan Smiths from the mid 2000’s (with the off-white midsole). Finally, to finish off with a kick (pun intended), I’ve thrown on the Adidas Adventure Strap-back Vintage Cap.

Outfit of the Week 11/08/2020

Hot damn, It’s August already?!
Welcome back and with this weeks Thom’s Tuesday Stay-In kit I'm keeping it cosy. You may have also seen an earlier post on our Instagram of a brand, Soliela. Their Middle Eastern roots help shine light into Melbourne's streetwear subculture of neighbourhood brands which, since conception, has brought a number of sweet pieces. Check them out here.

Sitting comfy AF today in a very warm Carhartt Chace Hoody and Soliela Shorts. I’m a total sucker for Stance socks, I swear their designs get me every time (Shop some of the styles we got in-store here). Picked Yoda up the moment he landed in store! While they mightn't compliment the wild shoes on my feet, they definitely help them stand out! Finally, Saucony Grid Azura 2000 in the Tiger colour way is a sure heavy hitter and not for the faint-hearted.

Outfit Of The Week 04/08/2020

Outfit Of The Week 04/08/2020

Welcome back fellow Junglist Giants to yet another Outfit Of The Week proudly brought to you by Covid-19… It’s with great regret to inform you that we've now temporarily closed, but we’ll be back once this is over and until then you can still shop our fresh styles online at junglestore.com.au

Layers of this week’s Thom’s Tuesday Fits include likes of Vans, New Era, Reebok and one of my personal favourites, Carhartt. From top to bottom; Vans ‘Cheers’ or as I like to call it ‘From Where We’d All Rather Be’ Tee in white. On bottom I’ve gone with another pair of camo pants (unlike the Stan Rays from last week, we have these in stock!!) from Carhartt. The ‘Aviation Pant’ has a relaxed cargo fit with an adjustable waist, double layer at the knee and zip fly. Last but not least is the bangers of which of course the whole fit is styled by: Reebok Club C 85 in the original white and green colour way.

Remember to follow us on instagram @concretejungletrading and stay frosty Melbournians.

Peace

The Next Dimension with Theseus

'Theseus, in Greek mythology, was the King of Athens and son of the gods. He was asked to enter the labyrinth and kill the Minotaur.  He was able to, due to his skills in combat and brute strength, but he still needed to find his way out. His wife, Ariadne had given him a length of twine to help him retrace his steps and exit the labyrinth; without her help, he would have died in the labyrinth. This is where the real inspiration from my brand comes from. That none of us are as strong as all of us. Put simply, in the immortal words of Rick James, it’s about “UNITYYYY”.' - Greg (founder)

Outfit Of The Week 28/07/2020

G’day and welcome back to another episode of Thom’s Tuesday Fit. Hope you’re all healthy and well as we dive into yet another week of Covid-19 lockdown. Getting out of the house is essential for the mind so, when I’m not in the Jungle I’m endorsing any form of physical activity including plenty of bike rides which in this case, has inspired my earthy tonal fit. I’ve been admiring the ‘Brunswick Green’ Cons all week so of course I had to plan my entire outfit around those including brands like Ellesse, Carhartt, and yours truly, Concrete Jungle Trading.

From top to bottom, my jungle themed layers consist of a Colza Carhartt WIP Pocket Tee, Ellesse Terazzo Jacket in Kahki Green, Stan Ray Fatigue Pants and a Concrete Jungle Shell Beanie (Sold Out) for a complimenting red pop on top. I love the classic and versatile look of the 70’s Chuck Taylor Highs in what I’ve dubbed as the Brunswick Green colour-way and to complete the fit the New Era and Casio G-shock collaboration on my wrist. I think I’m ready for the Amazon!

Let me know what you think of the fit and as always be sure you follow us on instagram @concretejungletrading and online at junglestore.com.au or come in and say hey - we’re here 7 days a week, we ask that you sanitise on arrival before touching any of our fresh kicks.
